Add the Pokémon you own. When you search a raid boss the app will suggest your best personal counters alongside the global top picks. Your data is saved in this browser.
Everything you need to know to get the most out of RaidDex.
1 Finding counters for a raid boss
Type the name of any raid boss into the search bar at the top — autocomplete will suggest matching Pokémon as you type. Press Enter or tap the arrow button to search. You can also tap any chip in the 🔴 Currently in rotation row to jump straight to a live boss.
Use the tier filter pills (All, 1-Star, 3-Star, 5-Star, Mega, Shadow, Elite) to narrow the quick-picks and autocomplete to a specific tier.
2 Reading the result card
- Weaknesses — type chips showing every type that deals super-effective damage. A chip with a glowing outline means ×4 damage (double weakness).
- Top counters — ranked by eDPS (effective DPS) from Dittobase, June 2026. Shadow variants deal ~20% more damage. Mega counters boost the whole team.
- Catch CP — the CP range you'll see on the catch screen after winning. Weather-boosted encounters ⚡ show in gold at a higher CP range (level 25 instead of 20).
- eDPS ✦ — the estimated effective DPS score. Higher is better.
3 GO search strings
Below the counters you'll find a ready-to-paste search string for Pokémon GO's Pokédex search bar. Toggle between two modes:
- By Pokémon — searches for the specific named counters. Shadow Pokémon use GO's shadow_Name syntax. Mega counters use the base Pokémon name so the search stays valid.
- By Type — uses GO's @type filter syntax (e.g. @ice,@rock) to show all Pokémon of effective types in your box. Sort by CP to find your strongest candidates.
Tap Copy then switch to Pokémon GO, open your Pokémon storage, tap the search icon, and paste.
4 Adding your own Pokémon
Go to 📦 My Pokémon and tap Add a Pokémon. The name field autocompletes as you type — just start typing the Pokémon's name and pick it from the list.
- CP — enter the CP shown in Pokémon GO.
- IVs — the attack, defence, and HP values shown on the appraise screen (0–15 each). If you haven't appraised it yet, leave these at 15/15/15 as a best-case estimate.
- Moves — optional. Enter the fast and charged move so the suggestion shows exact moves when you view a raid.
- If you add the same species twice (e.g. two Rayquaza), they're labelled Rayquaza-3769 and Rayquaza-2841 using their CP so you can tell them apart.
5 Using your own Pokémon in raids
After adding your collection, search any raid boss. In the counters section you'll see a My Pokémon / All counters toggle. Switch to My Pokémon to see only the Pokémon you own, ranked by how well they counter that specific boss. The ranking combines type effectiveness, IV scores, and CP.
Your Pokémon show with a green highlight so you can spot them at a glance even in the All view.
6 Managing your collection
In 📦 My Pokémon you can edit any entry (tap ✏️) to update its CP, IVs, or moves, or delete it (tap 🗑️).
Use ⬆️ Export to download your collection as a .json file — keep this as a backup or use it to move your data to another device or browser. Use ⬇️ Import to load a previously exported file. Importing replaces your current collection, so export first if you want to keep it.
All data is stored in your browser's localStorage — it stays on your device and is never sent anywhere.
7 Light mode & device support
Tap the 🌙 / ☀️ button in the top-right corner to toggle between dark and light mode. On a desktop or laptop the layout switches to a two-column view with a fixed sidebar. On a phone everything is in a single scrollable column.
